Smart home devices - are they actually worth the privacy tradeoff?
I want to get Alexa or Google Home but Im worried about privacy. How bad is it really?

No, 5G is not dangerous. The frequencies used are non-ionizing radiation, similar to radio waves we have been using for decades. Multiple scientific studies have found no health risks. The WHO and FDA have both confirmed 5G is safe.
