Is it possible to become fluent in a language as an adult?

I am 35 and want to learn Spanish. Can adults actually become truly fluent?

Duolingo is great for vocabulary and basic grammar but it cannot teach conversation. You need actual speaking practice. Use it as a supplement, not your only resource.
