How can I maintain a healthy work-life balance as a software engineer?
I've been working as a software engineer for about 3 years now, and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. I love the challenges and the sense of accomplishment that come with the job, but I've been finding it really hard to disconnect from work when I'm not at the office. I often find myself checking emails and taking work calls during my free time, and it's starting to take a toll on my relationships and my mental health.
I know I'm not alone in this struggle, and I'm wondering if anyone else has found a good way to set boundaries and prioritize their personal life. I've tried setting aside specific times to check work emails, and I've also tried to take up hobbies that have nothing to do with coding, but it's hard to shake off the feeling that I should be working all the time.
So, my questions are: what are some strategies that have worked for you in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and are there any specific tools or apps that you use to help you stay organized and focused on your personal life? I'd really appreciate any advice or insights you can share.
